I have gone through so many watches over the years, and I figure my husband has gone through even more. I like to wear a watch, especially when I go out, but I’m okay if I don’t have one on. Jon, on the other hand, considers a watch like a shirt…essential. He likes to have a ‘common’ watch to wear to work and a nicer watch to wear to church on Sundays.
The problem with the watches we buy is that the batteries run out after several months, and we’ve found it impossible to replace them. We buy a new battery that is identical to the old one, but the watch still won’t work. I don’t know if we’re doing something wrong or if lesser quality watch makers do it on purpose. We normally buy cheap watches from discount stores…maybe we shouldn’t do that.
Jon’s been without a nice Sunday watch for more than a year. I was looking at Bulova watches and found several I know he’d like. One in particular, the one in the picture here, has luminous hands and markers. I definitely prefer a watch that I can see in dim light, and I know Jon does too. It even has 32 diamond genuine diamond accents, woo woo, fancy. He’d look very handsome wearing such a nice watch to church, wouldn’t he?
The little ‘subdials’ tell the date and day, and one is a 24 hour clock. It’s water resistant to 30m…very nice for rainy days or washing hands. White dress shirt, silk tie, black pants and black suit coat, and a Bulova watch…he can beau me to church every Sunday.
