Someone please remind me what month it is. April? 22nd? That’s close to the end of April, right? Middle of spring?
Spring’s the season when the daffodils bloom, right? And trees regrow their leaves? Am I mistaken about that?
So why is it snowing today? I do not live in Canada. I don’t even live in Wisconsin or Maine. I live in southern West Virginia. Not even the northern panhandle. No. Southern. Close enough to Virginia that we could spit on it if we wanted. (We don’t.)
It has snowed for hours today. Admittedly, it’s not sticking but still. My tulips are blooming, and the redbuds are on the verge of exploding into purple-glory. But today – snow. What’s up with that?
I like snow. In fact, I love snow…but this is the end of April!

I totally empathize with you – that is totally discouraging. YES, IT IS SUPPOSED TO BE SPRING! We had an icy rain ourselves just two days ago. I have a feeling we are going to miss out on spring and go right to summer. In fact this weekend we are supposed to get up to 80F – it's hard to believe!!

Our red buds are already gone. the trees are almost in full leaf. Iris' are buding. Let me see, whate else? The yard is full green, I have mowed 2 times and it needs it again. AND Malcolm told me a few minutes ago that we have a new baby colt, Justborn a few minutes ago. It is 10 pm , and Paul just drove up to see the new baby. Is that enough April in Tennessee?
