The tide has changed, the light has come on, the joy has arrived for my eight-year-old son, James. He has discovered the joy of reading, happy exclaiming today, “I LOVE READING BOOKS!”
What a change from the boy who often shouted the exact opposite and felt that even the simplest books were too. Here he is reading The Bears’ Picnic to Robert:
