Wednesday’s Weekly Weigh In #3

I’m sorry for the delay in posting this week’s Wednesday Weigh In. I was busy Tuesday preparing our taxes and didn’t get (or take) time to post yesterday either. So we’ll just go at it today!

Thank you to Jon, Kristine, and Leanne for joining in last week.

My weigh in for this week – January 28, 2009

My scale says 203 – same as last week but I’m still confident this will change.

My goal is 140.

My first step (a mini goal) is 190.

Things I have done this week:

  • I was able to get a little extra exercise over the weekend! We went out on Saturday and did quite a bit of walking. I’m happy about that since the cold weather has kept me indoors and inactive the last couple months.
  • I actually feel like I didn’t do very well this week. I did pretty good I guess at dinner most nights, but at least once I ate to my heart’s content…which is why I weigh 203. :( One day I drank two Sunkists, which isn’t a huge deal but goes against my plan/goal. I intended to drink none the next day to make up for it but I couldn’t do it.

Steps I plan to take in the upcoming week:

  • I’m planning to make a dinner menu for the week, which I hope will help me eat better (and less) all week. I usually have no idea what to fix for dinner and we end up making something quick (and fatty).
  • Even though I feel like the last week was a total bust and am disappointed not to see any loss yet (which is my own fault), I’m keeping a good attitude and just going forward. I’ll try again this week!
  • I saw a nice 15-minute exercise routine in the new issue of Prevention that I want to try. It involves strengthening exercises (kind of like stretches but harder) and quick three minute bursts of cardio. The accompanying article says that the combination of the two exercises has proven more effective than just cardio alone.

If you have a blog, you can make a post sharing whatever information you’d like about your weight loss journey.

If you don’t have a blog, you can participate by leaving a comment on this post.

You do not have to share your weight, of course. Share your goal weight if you’d like and what you’re planning to do to reach it. As the weeks go by, share what you’re doing – and what’s working or not working.

Feel free to make your post or leave your comment any day of the week.

In your post, remember to link back to Fenced in Family’s Wednesday Weigh In so others can find out how to join in too. When you sign Mr Linky below, try to remember to include the direct link to your own weight loss post so others can stop by and be motivated!

  • This is something I haven’t done for a while. I think the last time I posted my weight-loss was back in November. Anyway, I stepped on the scale-of-doom today and found out that I weigh 225.5 lbs. When I started this diet back in August of 2007, I weighed 298 lbs.

  • I managed to lose 2lbs this week, which I was very happy with. This weekend I have the challenge of not over eating for the Super Bowl, but lately I haven’t been feeling frantically deprived, so maybe it won’t be so hard… Your attitude is great Cindy – I hope you succeed in doing some good meal planning this week! And tahtimbo I’m glad the scale-of-doom was nice to you! :-D

  • Lost 2 lbs this week. Down 30 altogether. WOW Tahtimbo! What an inspiration!!!!!
