Tagged Award

CrazynloveMom from Brady Bunch Repeat…I Don’t Think So has tagged me for a random things meme. I enjoy reading her blog and admire her for managing to mother six kids and her two nieces. I especially love the photo of her grown son in the crib with his one year old sister. Too cute!

The rules are fairly simple. I link back to the person who tagged me and post these rules. Share 7 random and/or weird things about me. Then I have to tag 7 people and link to their blog. Let them know they have been tagged by leaving a comment on their site. So here goes!

  1. I knit, crochet, sew, grow a (small) vegetable garden every year, breastfeed my babies into toddlerhood, use cloth diapers, prefer to build health with herbal remedies instead of going to the doctor, and homeschool my kids, but I am NOT crunchy – despite what some people have suggested. (What is ‘crunchy’? you may ask. I didn’t know at first either, but apparently it means hippie or tree hugger or granola-eating-no-bra-wearing.)
  2. To prove that I’m not crunchy, I’m a conservative Christian, prefer going to church to going to the movies, identify most closely with Republican ideals in the political sphere, and I drive a mini van.
  3. I don’t have a tv, and I’m very glad about that. When we drive through town after dark and I see televisions flickering in two or three rooms of almost every house, it makes me sad. I’m glad my family spends most of our evenings together.
  4. I love to swim but don’t much like to go to public pools. I wish we could have our own in-ground pool, but that will probably never happen.
  5. I love being witty and thinking of something funny to say in any setting. Sometimes I find myself being too sarcastic, though, and I say things that seem funny at the time but I regret later.
  6. My favorite car (in looks) is a 77 Trans Am preferably in black or gray primer. I think they look sooo cool (I know, weird).
  7. I can spot grammar and punctuation mistakes a mile away, and I love making sentences just right.

Whew, that was harder than I thought it would be. I’d like to tag these seven blogs, all of which I enjoy reading and would like to know more about their authors:
