About
Meet the Fenced in Family! We are a Christian family living in southern West Virginia, quite close to the Virginia border. We are eternally grateful for our church, Christ Gospel Church, and for the Truths we have learned and are learning from our pastors. We are pressing toward the mark (Philippians 3:14) and striving to grow to the measure of the fulness of His stature (Ephesians 4:13). It is such a blessing to know that God’s Truth has no end. We can never, in this life, learn everything there is to know about Him, there is always more. We can daily have new insights and new experiences in Him. Praise God!
We’re currently a family of five: Jon, Cindy, Nicholas, James, and Robert. We enjoy being together, baking and cooking, taking walks, camping, all sorts of things!
Cindy is the main author of this blog.
My dream was always to be a mom, so I’m living my unpaid dream today! I homeschool the boys and enjoy every minute of it. We use a variety of curricula, basing things mostly around literature units and Math on the Level. I enjoy writing and am honored to have had my book, Expedition Earth: My Passport to the World, published by Knowledge Quest Maps in 2011. I also like to knit, crochet, and sew. I enjoy computer work – designing brochures and other items for church and for school, writing HTML for web pages, and blogging too.
Jon is our family support and might post on the blog occasionally.
I’m a transplanted Tennesseean who enjoys living here in the mountains. I love my wife and boys and enjoy my work. I enjoy reading, the outdoors, and spending time with my family.
Nicholas is 11, loves winter snow best of all, and reads like it’s his full-time job.
James is seven, loves chocolate best of all, and enjoys riding his bike as fast as he can and conquering the world on Pogo’s Risk game.
Robert is four, loves all things red, and claims that he hunts big black bears with a BB gun.
